§ 14-576. Operating regulations: rates of fare.
(a)
No person shall operate a taxicab or limousine within the city without first filing with the city administrator a copy of such certificate holder's rate schedule; and any changes must also be filed with the city administrator prior to such changes being made. This section shall also apply to limousine businesses and limousine drivers regulated under O.C.G.A. § 46-7-85.1.
(b)
No operator of a taxicab or limousine shall charge a rate in excess of the rates filed with the city administrator. This section shall also apply to limousine businesses and limousine drivers regulated under O.C.G.A. § 46-7-85.1.
(c)
Each taxicab operating within the city shall have a rate card setting forth its rates for mileage, waiting time, extra passengers, and excess baggage. Such rate card shall be printed in standard block letters showing the taxicab company name not less than three-quarters inch in height, and the rates not less than three-eighths inch in height. The rate card shall be displayed within the vehicle in such place as to be conspicuous and in view of all passengers, subject to the approval of the city administrator.
(d)
Each taxicab shall have painted or affixed by decal on the exterior of the left and right rear doors its schedule of meter rates and the statement "CARD PROVIDED ON REQUEST," or equivalent wording as approved by the city administrator, in standard block letters not less than one inch in height. Such letters shall be in a color which contrasts with the vehicle color, subject to approval of the city administrator.
