§ 5. Term of mayor.

The Mayor of the City of Cumming shall be elected as herein prescribed and except as provided in Section 7, infra , shall hold office for a term of four years and until his successor is elected and qualified. The term of office of the present Mayor shall expire January 1, 2012, on which date the two-year term of the next duly elected Mayor of the city shall begin, followed by four-year terms beginning January 1, 2014 and thereafter as provided in Section 7, infra .
