§ 22. City jail.

Be it further enacted, that the City Council of Cumming shall have power and authority to maintain a city guard-house and to establish and provide regulation therefor, in which shall be confined for punishment, when necessary, persons sentenced by the municipal court for violating any of the laws or ordinances of said city, as well as for the safe detention until trial of all persons who have violated any of the laws or ordinances thereof.
