§ 12-101. Land development.

The fees required by subpart B, chapter 111, excepted are as follows:

Site plan submittal fee: $50.00; revisions and resubmittals $50.00 each.

Building plan submittal fee: $50.00; revisions and resubmittals $50.00 each.

Sign plan submittal fee: $50.00; revisions and resubmittals $50.00 each.

Building permits

Residential and agricultural:

The building permit fee for residential and agricultural structures shall be based on the value of the structure and according to the following schedule which is Schedule K of the standard building code. The value is calculated at $40.00 per square foot for heated area and $10.00 per square foot for unheated areas such as unfinished basements, porches, decks, patios, etc. Agricultural structures not intended for human occupancy are calculated at $3.00 per square foot.

Apartments, condominiums, townhouses:

The building permit fee for all Apartments, Condominiums and Townhouses shall be $0.20 per square foot for all enclosed areas (heated or unheated) and $0.10 per square foot for loading docks, open storage buildings; (example: truck or equipment sheds), etc. Retaining wall: $0.06 per square foot.

Permits for existing interior or exterior structural shall be $0.20 per square foot.

Commercial:

Penalties - When work is started prior to obtaining a valid permit for such work, the permit fee shall be doubled.

Plumbing, electrical and mechanical residential only.

For (one-step permitting) Residential - new construction only.

The one-step permitting procedure allows the Building Contractor to purchase all the necessary permits. The sub-contractors must fill out an affidavit form stating that they are responsible for the particular job, prior to requesting an inspection. Must also provide valid Georgia State Certification card and current Georgia Business License.

Must be permitted individually by the licensed contractor prior to any installation. Fees are determined by items installed. Failure to permit will result in doubled fees.
