§ 109-214. Dead-end streets.

  • Streets that dead-end shall terminate in a cul-de-sac or other approved turnaround. Streets that are planned to continue at some future date shall provide a temporary cul-de-sac as required by the city engineer. Except where topographic or other conditions make a greater length unavoidable, culs-de-sac or dead-end streets shall not be greater in length than 1,000 feet, unless approved by the administrative officer and shall be provided at the closed end with a turnaround, approved by the city engineer.
