§ 109-36. Delegation of authority to city engineer.

  • The city engineer is vested with the authority to require and approve, conditionally approve, or deny approval of preliminary plats, final plats, land development applications, and subdivision and land development improvements. The city engineer shall require improvement guarantees for public improvements as specified in this chapter. The city engineer is further authorized to promulgate additional technical standards and construction specifications for land development improvements not already specified by this chapter or the zoning chapter, including but not limited to water systems, sanitary sewer systems, streets, storm drainage systems, utilities, driveways, curb cuts, and parking lots. The technical standards and construction specifications shall specifically include but shall not be limited to the following:

    (1)

    City of Cumming, Department of Utilities, Water Pollution Control Division, Manual of Technical Specifications for Wastewater Pumping Stations.

    (2)

    City of Cumming, Department of Utilities, Water Pollution Control Division, Manual of Technical Specifications and Construction Standard Details for Wastewater Collection Systems.

    (3)

    City of Cumming, Department of Utilities, Distribution and Collection Division, Manual of Technical Specifications and Construction Standard Details for Water Distribution System.

    (4)

    City of Cumming, Department of Utilities, Distribution and Collection Division, Manual of Technical Specifications and Construction Standard Details for Potable Water Booster Stations.
